A Grand isn't Grand

VIRGIN BET on SPORT SOCIAL PODCAST NETWORK, a four-week run from 26th November to 23rd December. 

RULES 

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Voiceworks (Sport) Limited (“SSPN “) general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at winwithsportsocial.com apply to ‘A Grand Isn’t Grand’.  Sport Social Podcast Network competition (“the Competition”) will run from 26th November 2024 from 12:00am to 23rd December 2024 at 11:59pm. 

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from SSPN 

Details of the Competition:  

1. To enter the Competition an Entrant must 

i) go online to the Promotion entry page at www.winwithsportsocial.com online entry will open at [midnight] on 26th November 2024 and close at 11:59pm on 23rd December 2025 and register your details;  

ii) Explain in 500 words or less which inspirational person you would like to nominate and why (this can include yourself).  

2. There will be 8 winners across the Promotion. The winners will be selected via a judging process.  

3. The judging will take place as follows.. 

On 13th January 2025, we will randomly select 30 entries.  

On 13th January 2025, the 30 entries will be considered by 2 judges, in line with clause 4, and 10 entries will be eliminated based on the criteria below, leaving 20 entries shortlisted to go through the next stage of judging. If none of the randomly selected 30 entries are deemed to meet the criteria in clause 4, another 30 entries will be drawn at random and will be judged against the above criteria. 

On 22nd January 2025, the final 20 entries will be considered against the criteria outlined in clause 4 and x8 entries will be selected as the winners, each winning £1000 in cash to spend towards a season ticket.  

Judging process/criteria:  

4. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges including one independent judge who will consider the following criteria: 

In selecting the winners, we aim to highlight stories that reflect genuine need or passion, as judged against these considerations: 

  • Impact – How would winning positively impact the entrant or their nominee? Priority will be given to stories where fans have gone above and beyond.  
  • Authenticity and Relevance – Does the story convey authenticity? Is it relevant to the spirit of the prize? 
  • Contribution to the Community – Consideration may be given to individuals who actively contribute to their communities or others. Does the entrant or nominee make sacrifices for others or demonstrate a commitment to supporting those around them? 
  • Creativity and Compelling Narration – The clarity and emotional resonance of the story will be considered, though this is secondary to need and authenticity. 

  

Note: This competition is not based on the “best” or “most deserving” entry in any absolute sense. The goal is to find stories that resonate and reflect the intent of the campaign. 

 

If none of the shortlisted 30 entries are deemed to meet the criteria, another 30 entries will be drawn at random and will be judged against the criteria. 

Entries deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour will be removed from the Promotion.  

 

By submitting [an audio file] to the site winwithsportsocial.com to the podcast network you: (i) warrant that you control all copyright and all other rights (including, without limitation, performers’ rights) in and to such

; and (ii) confirm the grant by you to Sport Social Podcast Network (Voiceworks (Sport) Limited, “SSPN “) of a worldwide, perpetual, royalty free licence in the copyright and all other rights in and to the

(including, without limitation, performers’ rights) and you waive any moral rights and like rights you have in relation to the video; so that the podcast network [and Communicorp UK] shall be entitled to use the content in any and all media at no cost to the network [and Communicorp UK] and such use shall not infringe the rights of any third party. 

Eligibility: 

Open to residents of UK aged 18 or over. 

Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed.  

Employees of Virgin Bet and SSPN or their immediate families are not eligible. 

Data: 

Your data will be deleted from our system 12 months after the competition end date. 

The Prize: 

8 winners will each receive £1,000 in cash to spend towards a season ticket. 

Virgin Bet Limited (“Virgin Bet”) is not associated with this promotion, other than as a sponsor and prize provider:  
·        Virgin Bet is not involved in or responsible for the organisation or conduct of this Competition. All participant inquiries should be directed to the Promoter on the details below, and not Virgin Bet.  

·        Virgin Bet shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury (personal or otherwise) suffered by any winner as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize or otherwise related to any aspect of this Promotion which they do not directly control, except for any loss, damage or injury which is due to the negligence or wilful misconduct by Virgin Bet or which otherwise cannot be excluded by law. 

SSPN will notify the winners via the contact details submitted in the application. Winners will be informed week commencing the 27th January 2025.
